A young couple escapes Ireland, dreaming of a new life during the land giveaway in Oklahoma. As they struggle to survive against betrayal and harsh winter conditions, they must fend off her parents who are determined to bring her back home.
Tim Monich is a dialect coach. He trained with Edith Skinner at Carnegie Mellon University, receiving a BFA in 1973 and an MFA in 1975. He was on the faculty of the Drama Division of the Juilliard School from 1975-87. He has worked as a speech and dialect coach since 1975, both in the professional theater and in film.
