The brilliant young physicist Henrik and his fellow students develop a fusion reactor that produces endless clean energy, potentially saving Earth from environmental catastrophe. The reactor, however, is harnessed for commercial use, and the consequences for the planet and society are devastating. By the year 2064, the world has been ravaged by climate change. The UN succeeds in developing a form of time travel that can return a person's memories and personality to the moment of birth. Henrik is sent back to the past in an attempt to prevent the escalation of a catastrophe before it is too late. Something goes wrong and Henrik is forced to begin his mission from a very different starting point to the one he is used to.

Though created in a form of a serious murder-mystery it is in fact a dark comedy with occasional absurd elements, technology and conventions. The cast of characters are from Julmahuvi's various fictional cop-series and there are also other references to Julmahuvi's previous productions.
Sketch show Studio Julmahuvi ran for 8 episodes on YLE in 1998. The show is a parody of YLE's own programming, squeezing an entire evening's worth of programming into a half-hour show which included everything from news and weather to a children's show and a German police drama, with commercials and TV-spots on the side. The show was created with an impressive budget of 67 000 € per episode which resulted in extremely high production-values.

Summanen has worked mainly as an actor on Finnish television since 1995 making 30 appearances to date although he did feature in the 2005 Aku Louhimies film Paha maa alongside actors such as Mikko Leppilampi and Pamela Tola.
