Biography

Lorraine Bayly (born 16 January 1937) is a popular Australian stage and screen actress. She is a direct descendant of Captain Cook's astrologer, William Bayly. Bayly has been a performer since she was a child, and became a professional actress in 1954, having started as a theatre performer. She is a founding member of Sydney's Ensemble Theatre, and best known for her Logie-winning role as Grace (Mum) Sullivan in the long running soap, The Sullivans. She retired from acting due to her health complications in 2019.
