Richard Clark has just left the well-known Wellington Academy to teach at Marion Barry High School. Now, he will try to inspire the D-average students into making good grades and try to woo a fellow teacher.
Giorgio, a young soldier, is in love with the married Clara and becomes her lover. But they are separated when Giorgio is posted far away, where he meets the unhappy, unhealthy, and unattractive Fosca, who develops a passionate love for Giorgio and tries to make him love her. This rendition of Stephen Sondheim's Tony Award-winning musical was recorded on the stage with it's original all-star Broadway cast. Colleen Fitzpatrick (born December 19, 1954) is a Broadway veteran and vocal performance coach with almost 40 years experience in theater, film and television. Her New York credits include revivals of Follies, Sunday in the Park with George, Company, Bye Bye Birdie, and 110 in the Shade. She has also appeared in the original Broadway casts of Cats, Into the Woods, Jerome Robbins’ Broadway, Passion, Lestat, Road Show and Kimberly Akimbo. Her film appearances include The Mambo Kings and Liar Liar, and she was formerly the frontwoman of the rock 'n' roll band Games.
